A rare visitor to these shores, but one has been spotted today (9.1.2012) on the Dee Estuary @ Point of Ayr and not far from Railway Line.
Hope he hangs around as I have never seen one and must look out for this Bird when next on the Train.

Apart from this rarity, must visit RSPB Conwy as well, as there are 3 Firecrests showing well at the Reserve. Plenty of other Birds to see as well which should be good.
Heard something on the radio about a Spanish Sparrow being spotted somewhere in the UK. Twitchers very excited. Appears to be mating with local sparrows? Bit early in the year for this?
