Hello sunny dave what is you are asking for
the first one is a White stork genus Ciconia
Love the stock pic Dave.

What camera do you use if you don't mind me asking, the pics are always so lovely and clear, I'll need a new one soon as mine seems to be giving up the ghost.
Bah, stork (flipping keyboard)

Not asking about these - just posting for anyone interested.

I'll post my full list of around thirty species from my Algarve trip later in the week - just need to verify one or two oddities with my twitcher friends.

These were taken with a Sony NEX-5N with the 55-210 lens.

The stork pic was actually from my apartment window - so is nice & sharp because the camera was on the window ledge.
Ok sunny dave, nice pictures. I yesterday got a lovely shot of Audins gull, fairly rare for the east coast.
Super pictures Dave......do want to swap for some of my leg? Bitterns at all? Didn't see any in Norfolk this time. Have lots of friends who bird watch in the Algarve and it was a good time to go.
Question Author
Saw some Audouin's Gulls at the Ria Formosa site - too far away for pictures though.
Question Author
More Little Bitterns than you could shake a stick at - other people in the hide were very excited - I was just overwhelmed with all the wonderful new (to me) birds.
The swamp hen looks kinda like a giant moorhen.
untill you google Purple swamp hen, then it looks like a purple swamp hen
Thank you :)
