Yesterday, I saw a deer walk out of the line of trees behind the nest.

She was off the nest briefly, still 3 eggs.

An osprey and buzzard nests have recently lost chicks to goshawks.

On second thoughts, I think the male must be lurking somewhere. He must be feeding her, otherwise she'd have deserted the scrape.
Well, I wish he'd lurk where we can see him.
She has food. I didn't see it being delivered though.

Tilly when are they due to hatch? I shall have to stop watching then because how are the babies not going to fall out of that "nest"?

Could be an intruder, Tilly? On some peregrine nests one of last years young help feeding the young of this years.
Found this LB.

The female usually lays three eggs and starts incubating from mid-June whilst the male provides her with food, an average of 2.6 birds per day. Incubation lasts for four weeks, followed by a fledging period of four to five weeks.
So hatching next week?
