Duff Links (<P>) A solution?
0 Answers
Problem: Some of the links in postings only get you "404 Page not found" when you click on them. When you look at the Address line a <P> has appeared at the end of the address. So if you delete that and press Go, it then works but what a pain all round.
Reason? I think this happens when the poster presses Enter or Return straight after the web address. The Answerbank gremlins then paste the HTML paragraph code <P> onto the address and it doesn't work. It also fails if the address includes a / at the end
Solution? Add a space after the address before pressing Enter. (And delete any extra bits you think might interfere.) This seems to work for me.
