I have been wondering if the Ed could introduce A.B.S.O.s ( AnswerBank Sod Off's) to replace Answer Removed. We could have degrees of A.B.S.O
eg.
Minor Transgression A.B.S.O. 1- Suspended for 1week ( followed by 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,& 10 Suspended for 10 weeks).

We've spoken about this many times.

Currently we suspend users for a week, to be reviewed on each Monday. If a user attempts to return with another username during their suspension we increase the suspension to a minimum of 2 weeks.

What you're asking for is pretty much what you've already got!

We ban users who persistently transgress.

I came back with a different name and was given awful abuse by another user. I got suspended for two weeks. The other person got banned...

She's been posting in another name since...you know it ED...and I know it. I told you who it is Ed....you don't care though...

But this person sent dirty pictures to my Nephew....I was disgusted...

why not shut the site down for a couple of days
clear all user names
let everyone ask to rejoin by sending in £2 in registered mail with an sae and a utilty bill
the ed the sends back a yes or no in the sae with the utility bill
the £2 is non returnable and the ed gets to buy a new porsche car at xmas
i get a bottle of malt for this excellent idea
people will not be able to have a few user names
no more trolls or if they do they can't rejoin as easy as the ed can check the utility bill
and also i can then rejoin as floyd
