I've been using the site the correct amount of time and have posted the required amount, why hasn't it shown on my profile so that I can put up a Gravatar?

So there might be nothing that you can do about it. However people often had problems getting avatars even before the latest round of problems, so you could start by checking that you've not made any of the 'usual' errors:
1. Check that you've used the SAME email address to register with AB as when registering with Gravatar; it's ESSENTIAL! ;
(If you're unsure of which address you used to register on AB, go to My Profile > Edit My Profile).
2. Check that you've rated your avatar as 'G' on the Gravatar website ;
3. Check that you've actually activated your avatar (by ticking the box under Edit My Profile).

The Ed is aware that there is a problem with Avatars being transferred from Gravatar into AB and is doing his best to resolve the problem.
I feel sure your Avatar will be published as soon as possible and I look forward to seeing it. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the columns of AB; the best site for posting questions and getting good answers.

I will be patient. And I will most certainly enjoy the columns on AB, this is clearly many, many leagues above the other site I used to use, but have now discontinued to even browse. Many thanks for a great site, I was made to feel most welcome as a newbie, and I love the fact that you can keep on posting on the original question, what a great idea!
Utepoot... I now get the impression that you have a number of dogs.
I had never heard of a Utonagan and he doesn't look scary to me.
My quick research has established that the breed has an excellent temperament.

Hi Ron, yes the breed has an excellent temperment (they aren't guard dogs!) We only have two dogs now, the Ute and a Border Collie. People have crossed the street to avoid him, and one lady started crying as we approached. Very bizarre. He always has a wagging tail, and this great big tongue lolling out of his mouth...not a scary look if you ask me!! But he IS huge. He weighs 100lbs. (Well that was last time we were able to weigh him. He's afraid of the scales at the vet.)
