Current Answerbank Problems

It would be nice if the Editor/s could post a notice somewhere conspicuous explaining that there are technical problems causing difficulties at the moment.  What is so frustrating is the lack of communication from Answerbank.  An apology might be an idea as well.

I posted this first thing this morning but, due to my postings not appearing earlier,  it has only just arrived.  It's made me look as if I am duplicating postings.  Sorry.

I think questions have been reported for no reason maybe the ED is checking them and restoring questions that are OK .I agree with you as well FP

A while ago the Editor at that time said that reporting a posting didn't mean that the posting was automatically taken off, and that it was the editor's decision.  I always believed this, but recently I wonder whether a technical hitch has meant that some people have magic powers when they press report!!  Some time ago Woofgang went through a patch of postings automatically disappearing when she reported them and reported this on this category.  There does seem to be a small group of us that have been hit by this problem since we all supported In A Pickle, although I have noticed that others are complaining now.

FP have had 7 answers banned today none offensive. I could not post questions as well T.C.L posts are gone within minuets of posting if I were T.C.L I would be very p*****d off!!

I could not log in all week I thought I was banned because I posted in that stupid dwarf thread its strange watching the goings on this week.

WHJ - I have had approximately 30 postings banned since last weekend!!  I couldn't post at all for days.   I reregistered under a different name just so I could post, and was very open about who I was.  I then got criticised by another user for abusing the rules!   Then I couldn't post under my new user name either!

FP that post accusing you of using multiple names has gone - I stuck up for you and admitted that I also had to use another name - it's very frustrating. It does seem as if unsavoury people can "get at us".

wellhungjock I sometimes wonder why I bother posting anymore. In one thread I posted "I'm saying nothing" and that was banned. What with that and all the problems I'm having it's getting very frustrating.

Someone on another thread has suggested that we make too many postings and this is why we are banned.  Are we limited???

Netty,  Many months ago a scheme was introduced to stop multiple postings by users but I don't think it is used unless people post indiscriminately all over the site.  Anyway, Cranberry had only made about 7 postings before she couldn't post any more!

Thanks for your support Netty.  I am quite thick skinned, but there does seem to be an element of 'lets get at some people'.

The thing is Madge, I don't use two user names at the same time and Cranberry stays away when FP is about.  I also was extremely honest about Cranberry!  So I am not a naughty girl at all just a creep!
