There isn't really a problem involved in using Firefox to copy and paste. After all, how often does one need/wish to copy and paste chunks of AnswerBank? For myself, I use Internet Explorer as a matter of course. Then, when I decide to keep a record of something, I just click on Firefox, do the copying/pasting and then return to IE or just go on using Firefox for the rest of that AnswerBanking session. It takes moments to swap and is certainly less hassle than multiple triple-clicking!
Try it, Kitty. You'll be no worse off if, for some reason, you then decide it is not for you.
I understand that Cetti has a problem in using Firefox, though - as a total computer illiterate myself - I have no idea why. The point I made earlier about "multiple triple-clicking" is exactly what Cetti is talking about when she refers to "a bit of a nuisance if you need several paragraphs."
Firefox will highlight and copy as many paragraphs as you like 'in a oncer'. Unless you share Cetti's problem, I can think of not a single reason why people don't just download Firefox!
But that's just my point, Cetti. OK...I appreciate that it's no good for you...by the way, have you ever asked anybody why you have this problem with Firefox?..but I should have thought Firefox was the perfect solution to copying recipes. These tend to be - almost by definition - written in paragraphs, so it must be absolute triple-click hell for you! For those of us who don't share your difficulty, it could scarcely be easier....highlight the entire multi-paragraph recipe in Firefox, copy and paste it. Et voil!
I've been on about Firefox so often recently that I really ought to point out that I do not possess shares in Mozilla!
Dear Users,
Thank you for your query and the responses it has generated. To recap, people who use Internet Explorer find that they cannot cut and paste in a useful manner, which is not a problem with other browsers such as Firefox. Unfortunately, as the heavies in IT have explained, this is an MS issue and we can only hope that it is resolved soon.
