Post Dates
Can anyone explain why all the post dates (questions and answers) say the same date : 2/06/05 regardless if they were posted today or last week...they all have that date on them...whats up?!

So I guess that as usual, we Brits (and other countries' people too! :-D) are more used to Americanisms, than US citizens are to "quirks" of the rest of the world! Sad, but true!
P.S. Morning artful - attack of the crazy space bar again hun? Well done on stopping it at only 2 posts!!! :-D I bet it's a right pain typing it all out again though! Grrrr! Happy Friday everyone!

There is an international standard which is yyyy/mm/dd, which no one uses in every day life, but does enable you to simply tack on the time to get a rational expression of when something happened yyyy/mm/dd/hh/mm/ss. Neat but cumbersome.
At the risk of boring you what time is it on Mars? Answer> Astronomers use Universal Time which means that it is the same time everywhere, and conveniently Universal Time is the same as Greenwich Mean Time.
No, you're not 'that' lucky...I am still into the site...I am not, however, into why this started out as a question about dates and somehow ended up with talk of sheep molestation!? If this website is for Q and A...why so much babbling of subject?
And for those actually sticking to the subject: I actually don't know why we write our month before the day in the U.S..
if I get bored enough today, I will do some research and find out. I do agree that it is certainly more logical day/month/year...
Yeah, but that button doesn't always work! :-p
You can in fact report answers for being "too chatty". However, this can result in very helpful users being automatically banned from using AB - especially at the weekend (when robots take charge). Plus it's better to say things to people's faces! So....
Perhaps the best thing to do is to keep an eye on your thread. If it seems to be getting irrelevant, post an answer requesting that people keep it relevant or start their own thread. If you make a polite request, people will normally be only too happy to oblige! :-)
