hi ed >waves to ed from chatterbank<
dont know if this is possible, but you know in a thread were you can give stars or report an answer, there could be another option saying block. (like on chatrooms) this way anyone can block anyone else who is being offensive, or pretending to be someone else. Im sure if a user is being insulting and knows other users can block them then it wouldnt be half as much fun for them. Just a thought (now me head hurts)

Perhaps you need a weekly referendum on which all users get the chance to ostracise one bad egg, who will then be taken to the courtyard of the AB monastery and publicly disembowelled. That should quieten things down.
hi jno, what i mean is if you block a user then the user is only blocked to you and not other people, so if the offensive ones say blocked me, everyone else could still see what i posted just not the person who blocked me in the first place, (oh god im crap at explaining)
like the disembowelling idea though
Hi pix >waves sheepishly from the monastery balcony>
Great idea, and I even "got it" the first time I read it! So wouldn't be bashing the little grey cells so quickly....
As far as how technically feasible it would be, well, that's another story. It has been noted, however, and will be suggested to the Heavies for consideration.
In regards to the naughty user situation, the best policy - other than the fascinating "disembowelling" suggestion - is to Report the living daylights out of 'em. Thanks to you all we can quickly remove these offensive posts and know that it was you that decided to and not some perceived heavy-handedness by your's truly.
Though my hands do weigh 15kg - is that a lot?
