Deleting Deleted Threads

Is there any way deleted threads can disappear from your profile. This would stop your 'recently answered' tab and 'threads I'm involved in' getting cluttered up with threads that are no longer there?

Just to build on the suggestion it would be good if deleted posts could disappear from the Recently/Answered sections- a few lines can still be read (and they sometimes remain in the Best Answer box too) although when you click on the thread for more info you get the 'This thread cannot be retrieved' message

Retrochic- I have posted a few questions and comments like this but but haven't had answers from the Ed. I think that's becaus ethis is not the section for asking - I think it's a section for the ediorial team to blog/communicate to us. I don't know if posting in the Suggestios subtopic is more likely to get a response- presumably the Ed does look in there.
