Excellent idea and it seems to have been useful where it has been trialled.
//It would mean people who use the charities could be given help finding work when they pick up the emergency packages to feed themselves and their families.//
I'm sure it is suggested with good intent but I can't see it working. I take it that it's not obligatory anyway. Most will say they already get advice elsewhere anyway, thank you. That if the government could ensure more job positions available they may have a better chance of getting one. Then get the food they want and leave.
Ian Duncan Smith has created the need for the foodbanks in the first place with his tyrannical approach to welfare system changes it is rather ironic a very offensive comment naomi24 very patronising
the advisors i have dealt with at the job centre are arrogant unhelpful and dont have a clue what they are doing. People may think that by using the foodbank they might have to look for work. The real problems are of course not being dealt with. Mass immigration is one of the biggest problem for poverty in this country. Look after our own people first before we help foreigners.
why shoukld not people have the opportunity to see a job advisor at the same time? If they already have a job, they wont, and if they don't they need to!
