Have A Rant Thread

I am in need of a proper good rant.

1) Mr BM's 83 y/o father has had a number of falls over the last few weeks. Doctor has not attended once despite saying they would. STB FIL is now in hospital.

2) a national firm of renting/estate agents have failed to give Mr BM a reference for our new property. Despite promising this on several ocassions and moving the goal posts considerably (he is a good tenant, who keeps the house spotless and pays on time). They have now taken to quoting bits of law that do not exist. Meanwhile, I have my whole life stopping on 18 March to move into a property we may not now get. Thanks, *******s.

3) a national firm of communications services are trying to bill me for a long dead mobile phone which was all sorted over 3 years ago. It took them 6 weeks to find the account they allege is in default and then they refused to discuss it with me on the basis that I could not tell them what my last payment was (yeah can you remember the last payment on an account from over 3 years ago). AND you only traced it from the information I gave you.

Those are my current bete noirs. What are yours? Let's have a communal rant followed by a communal hug.

Virgin have a new tivo box they said, easy to set up they said, just follow the instructions they said...... after over 2 hours being passed around their call centres and switching on and off, rebooting etc I have my old box back on, and I won't tell you what I said......

Funny, "Colin Saunders" (clearly from Mumbai) knew EXACTLY what I was saying earlier when he called me up from Microsoft to tell me there was a problem with my computer. He called me a rude word, told me to eff off and then hung up. Whatever might I have said to provoke that response......

Oh I love those calls, I usually ask them which computer and insist they give me the registration number telling that across all the department's we have over a thousand. Then I ask if they would like me to put them through to the tech team.... they usually hang up. Other times I just tell them to take their scam and insert it per rectum.

my vacuum deposits dust on the carpet, it did it from the off, no idea why, I have complained now to the company, but doubt if will get any place.

I am rather surprised, Barmaid. I would have thought that as a barrister-at-law you were better placed that anyone to tackle these issues with gusto. Next time write to them on your headed notepaper.

Been there with the long dead mobile phone AND a previous energy supplier who stated that we owed them money.
Pointed out to them that they wouldn't have let us switch if we owed them money and how did they work that out when we're pay as you go?

The list could well increase, how long have you got?
