Here's a challenge, just for fun! Looking for John, from Middlesborough, parents had a fish & chip shop. He lived in London in the late 1970's, living in Kew, working as a chemical engineer. I'm not holding my breath on this one!

Helluva challenge with no surname.
Give us a surname and we'll try to find him as Zacs says, men are usually not that hard to trace unless they want to disappear.
Aye, they're usually at the pub, or down the dog track.
O/G LOL .
Where did he work?

C'mon... lol......lets try harder guys......1976... how many fish & chip shops were there in Middlesborough? Probably not as many as there were pubs Im guessing.
Is there a local Facebook group you could put a post on for Middlesbrough. More likely on there that someone might remember something, or know someone who does.

Brill, grateful for that SJ .... dates all tie in, only difference is that was Mum's rather than parent's business. It's a definate start & I'll take it from here. Thanks
Tried linked-in. As a 'professional' could well be on that (and Facebook). Local papers are usually happy to carry appeals in their editorial pages as some of these turn out to be happy stories.
I lost touch with a friend when my address book was stolen, so I wrote to the local paper where I thought she might be living. I found her ! She had married and changed her name, but we kept in touch thereafter until she died.
