How Can I Remove This Pop Up Please?

Since a Windows 10 upgrade, every time I access the Internet on my laptop I get a pop up in the bottom right hand corner from Inverse.com, which I believe is a digital media company with various news and advertising items linked to my browsing history. I've tried to find this on my PC to delete but I can't -and when I go to the site there is no option to unsubscribe ( I have not subscribed to my knowledge anyway) Any suggestions on how to remove this would be gratefully accepted as its getting on my nerves. This only happens on Chrome Browser and does not seem to be an extension of Chrome as I've checked. I have ad blockers on all browsers I use. Thanks.

pop ups are blocked I've checked. To explain this is more a 'slide' from the bottom RHC, the same as when I get an email alert.

does the unwanted pop up appear in notifications? if so you can switch it off

I'm so glad I read this post. I get several of those annoying pop-ups and have tried to get rid of them without success. I have now followed the instructions of Rockyracoon's link, and for the first time I am hopeful that I might have got rid of them. Thank you so much.

Block or allow pop-ups in Chrome

On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
At the bottom, click Advanced.
Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.
Click Pop-ups and redirects.
At the top, turn the setting to Allowed or Blocked.


This happened to me before, i'm not sure how but i know what you're on about, the above advice works. I believe it happened to DannyK recently also but i may be mistaken.

It is possible that a bit of Malware has got into your operating system and needs to be removed.

Do you have an anti Malware programme which you can run a scan.

Thank you to everyone who replied, especially rockracoon it worked a treat and an eye opener as to just what had been downloaded onto my PC. The main culprits I think are 'free' recipes I've been downloading, I will be much more careful in future and regularly check my settings. Every day is a school day :-)
