Could you please tell me the size of it? I don't know why they don't state it! I have mailed M&S but they haven't replied yet.

Robinia ner ner ner that garden is beautiful, puts my mud and weed patch to shame, but I am ecological (or is it lazy?) I have weeds and things that have been eradicated elsewhere.

Yes I think I'll put the tree up today, don't usually until 15th Dec but there's not much to do today as it's another fiesta (Immaculate conception no less) I get in such a muddle with all the lights and tinsel it takes me forever, but hey ho.

oh well, M&S seem to be out of hurricane lamps any way, they say they've sent them all to London...

Darn, my day off and the weather looks miserable again, so I'd better spend it in a mall somewhere. Am driving to Lille for the weekend as a friend is having a BBQ at his farmhouse. (No farm, just the house, but as it's out of town I have to drive via le shuttle rather than just hop on eurostar.) So naturally my back is playing up already, probably the thought of all that water in the channel making it feel rheumaticky. At least there won't be wildlife on the road...
