It seems we're not getting any changes on AB 'til after xmas so I've set up a grotto for us. Sorry it's a bit like a scene from Great Expectations but I've sprayed a few cobwebs silver & blown the dust off me doileys so please come in & sit down.
What do all the biddies/grumps want to find in their wrinkly stockings this year then? Do you like all this festivity or will you be the grumpy gran/grandpa from hell this year?
Please feel free to take a present out of the bran tub as you leave by the way. Contents may be unidentifiable....oops sorry...be varied.

The reason why CB has closed is that Ed wants to spend more time with the Biddies - can't be bothered with the hoi poloi. But even Ed has to contribute a bottle of something for us. "Flowers in the Rain" would be nice, we could sprinkle it all around the NooLoo.
Question Author

That's exactly what I'd popped in again to say neti - we're going to have to keep our heads down & unfortunately not 'advertise' anymore in suggestions. Better to remain just a handful than to risk an invasion & eviction.
Can we all also agree please that if we get any 'trouble' we simply ignore & report?

Kitchen?? Oh I think I pass it on the way to bed.

Thank goodness I put this in suggestions - I almost started it in cb......I'm so glad I was miserable that day, that's why I did it, for a bit of light relief. Every cloud has one.

Question Author

Haha IAP - brilliant!! Stick it on the Grotto door. If that doesn't keep the riff raff out nothing will.

Yes Robinia it was a good idea of yours - what would I do without the Biddygrotto. Now stop preening and go look for the old lav.

Ive ignored and reported...(about the ladslav)but your still here...Robinia...( :)He..He..

I do feel genuinely sorry for those in CB, who just wanted to chat. But a few had to spoil it for everybody else. And it didnt help being rude to the ED.I just hope that these people are not allowed to join the chat sites some users are setting up.

Question Author

The old lav? Why do we need that back? Whoever has it can keep it & plant their bizzy lizzies in it. I'm happy with the nooloo thanks - in fact I'll bring in some of those... whispers....Bottom wipes....tomorrow. And the LadsLav can have me old Woman's Weekly.

Question Author

Flippin heck! you crept in quietly there Vinny - got ya brothel creepers on have ya???

(Many of them unfortunately thrived on the arguments in cb - shame it deteriorated the way it did).

Yes I had to bite my tongue many times in CB as some users used to shout about being bullied yet they were the bullies themselves. Much quieter in here, can put my feet up, take teeth out and suck me baccy. Now where are those plaid slippers with the bunion hole cut out??? ooh and me tartan rug .....has anyone seen me tartan rug?Vinny Vinny????
Question Author

Vinny's taken out the back neti - must be anticipating a long job. Either that or he wants to read my Woman's Weekly before he uses it. Hope he didn't want the knitting pattern - I ripped it out. It's for a shrug...what the heck's a shrug???! I thought it was something shop assistants did when you ask them sommink.

'Twas a night before Christmas

When CB closed down

the protestations were heard

all over the town

but some wise old biddies had a place of their own

where they laughed and they giggled

and toilets were thrown

AB Ed was so tired of trouble that day

He/she/it told the Biddies that they could stay

in their grotto BUT not in his way

So thank you dear Ed

for all that you do

Come visit the Biddies and see the NEW Loo. xx

Even the real Elvis like us as he sang "...in the Grotto"
Question Author
Oh that's fantastic neti..
....throws roses @ @ @ ..........they're the ones I've bitten & didn't like........ hahaha
If anyone is looking for me I'm hiding under me tartan rug in the coal shed of the Biddygrotto, waiting for CB to explode. It's all very creepy........................................
ah ha - I see CB is still working at the moment - so what dastardly deed has Ed done? methinks all the Biddies except me(cos I'm too old to walk up the gangplank) have been absconded to a better AB - and I, the last, am left undefended.
Morning all..um...where do i post me birthday threads..there be one more before xmas...(18th.)...me heartys...shall i chuck it on cb..before it ...explodes..( :)
Question Author

whispering....I'm here neti, I've crept in in me slippers & a hoody. It's turning ugly out there & I didn't want any of the cbers to notice me in case I got pelted for being able to stay in a chatty thread. I'm surprised we haven't had any flack (yet). We'd better keep the gramaphone on a low volume as well - might be good idea to put some Des O'connor on - that'll keep 'em out. Check the identity cards of all visitors - I think that delivery of 'special aids' I ordered is due.

I nkow I'm only 28, but can I join you guys? I'm a good girl and never cause trouble :'(

Hi Netti and Robinia. I have been digging this damn tunnel all night in order to avoid being seen getting to the grotto. Have we any water about so I can clean off all the mud? I'm now worn out, but at least we have a means of getting in unnoticed.
