Please try to keep ChatterBank clear of political discussion and news. There are better categories for these topics.
ChatterBank is a place for natter and fun. ChatterBank is not to be a place for gloom and doom threads regarding current affairs.

If I post something political or contentious in "News" people jump down my throat for not providing a link. If I post the same thing in Chatterbank Spare Ed is now telling me to avoid anything political or recent news (aren't many topics these days one or the other?). Is Spare Ed suggesting that Chatterbank should only be boring and repetitive trivia such as that displayed by the GMEB thread?
Diddly , the GM thread has been running quite successfully for many a year now, there’s never a contentious issue it it which makes it quite ‘ special ‘ it being in CB, certainly isn’t boring and let’s face it, it’s all over by about 08- 00 am anyway and you’d never get either Emmie or Waterboatman being discourteous to anyone
As bobbi says it gives some of us someone to talk to early in the mornings. I have been on the GMEB thread a few times in the past but don't usually come on here this early but this week due to having covid I have been up by 4am because of the cough so it's nice to have something to do and a little chat. Rest of family are still in bed until later.
