We had said we fancied a BBQ on Sunday for father's day and we've got plenty in the freezer to choose from but the weather on Sunday isn't looking too BBQ-friendly unfortunately. We'll just have to play it by ear.

Do you have a contingency plan? :)

I've just whipped up a salad for my lunch today and then had a sneezing fit. I can feeling something nasty in my throat so I think I'm in for a dose of what the nipper has just had.

We never had summertime lurgy pre-pandemic. What's happened?

humid here - will try a washing machine load on the line as the forecast isn't too bad. Worked last night to keep them in order and take some of the load off the weekend.....otherwise serenity rules for the day, some shopping needs to be done.

We are finding that we are shopping pretty much every day. We eat a lot of fresh salad and vegetables so it's unavoidable really.

Very hot and humid here. Horrible night so the less said the quicker it will be forgotten.

Not sure about today will just have to see what can be dreamed up.

Youngest has now passed al her exams so congratulations are in order. Will have to think of some way of celebrating.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good night. We had the bed raider with us all night again. It's a miracle I got any sleep.

My bad night is nothing to worry about just this heat. Something I'm not keen on anyway and it is not good at the moment. It will end soon I expect.

Bed raiders always mean quite a bit less comfort and sleep. It gets better as they get older though.

Morning.... Busy day today, most of this morning helping a neighbour full in benefit forms, and other support stuff. We haven't got a support worker at the moment so myself and a friend are picking up some of the slack, then this afternoon baking for the cake stall at the tomorrow's exhibition ( Birmingham embroidery and Textile art)then this evening taking the pieces I am submitting, the cakes,and the stuff for the sales table to Cotteridge to give to the hanging team. Back again Saturday to help wherever I am needed. Hope to fit in a trip to the swimming pool around lunch time!

Good morning LadyC and everyone, no plans for the day as yet a few things to do on PC... but other than coping with the heat nothing doing. Nice and easy one can relax... except for the footy my team didn't do so well at the end but hoping Gareth lads can bring a smile back to me this evening.
