I am sure many people have written on this subject, but I think the scoring system needs to be revised. I rarely award stars since I cannot be bothered, and when I feel guilty and do, I cannot give less than 3 since that seems rude. I think other people must be like me, judging by the amount of stars given, and the lack of 1 and 2 stars given at all.

Isn't there some other way we can say thankyou?

Must be daft, but how do you give the stars as i've noticed people have put stars by my name and never knew what they were for?????!!!!

yes.... scarlett.... thank you .....***

if you post a question alli mac next to each answer is a 'rate this answer' box, if you click on this you can give stars out according to the answer, but I must admit , I am with scarlett, it is soooo hard to give stars out to only one or two poeple x
Thanks!!
not really a scoring system Scarlett, as this isn't a competition... at least, I hope it's not, because I haven't done any training yet, haven't even ordered the steroids... it's just a chance for you to thank people if you feel like it. If you don't want to grade responses from 'brilliant' down to 'patronising drivel' you don't have to, after all. And if you want another way, as dove says, you can just add a post saying 'Thank you'. But it's all entirely voluntary.
I understand your point totally, Scarlett. I use the star system for the first few answers, but if the question 'takes off' suddenly and you get inundated with lots of great answers, I really can't be bothered to continue weighing up their merits on an individual basis.
I'd also like to see changes to the report a question section. I would add 'wind up question'. :-).
How many more questions about babies riding uphill in strollers wearing full nappies on a Wednesday does it take to cause a heart attack in a comatose vicar, must we endure??
the person who posted the original question can stop more emails arriving. But allowing people to 'wind up' other people's questions would be an invitation to trolls, I think, so it should remain the AB Ed's job.

If she bothered to do it jno, which isn't the case at the moment.
This site has gone to pot in the three months I've been on it. The CBers are fed up, imposters are everywhere, multiple daft questions push quality ones down a page too quickly and I've had to stop my daughters using AB because of the anti gay language used in a couple of threads recently.
I think the owners of the site would be well advised to cull the Editor rather than CB.
