Hi

My PC is a Lenovo all in one running W10. When trying to order our weekly shop on line from Tesco it seems to freeze at least twice during the procedure, making ordering virtually impossible. I can access all other websites without any problem. However, when I use my Lenovo chromebook, I can access Tesco without any problem. This has been going on for a couple of weeks. Can anybody throw any light on this please ? Many thanks

Is it the WiFi? Have you done a speedtest on both machines?

On your PC, are you using the website, and the app on the Chromebook?

Hi Barry

Using the web on both machines. Haven't done a speed test on either. Seems strange that all other websites are fine ??

Thanks for answering.

Try a different browser, fb, it really is surprising the difference it can sometimes make

Try clearing your history and cache. Plus there are reports that cloudfare can cause loading issues with some sites, on some routers, on a single machine whilst all other sites and pcs work fine.

Also you could try a complete upgrade of the Tesco nameserver. uninstall the one you have now and try logging in with this    ...

Something which can make you think that you've got wi-fi problems (such as buffering or locking up) is another program on your PC hogging all of its resources.  That could be malware, which has found its way onto your computer, or it could be legitimate software which isn't functioning properly.  (Anti-virus programs, for example, can sometimes 'get stuck in a loop', resulting in them using far more resources than they should).

Start by downloading and running AdwCleaner, to see if it helps:

Then use Task Manager to look for anything unusual in your PC's running processes (and possibly considering uninstalling, and then reinstalling, any anti-virus program that you've got).
