Sweedie...go to my profile...click edit user details...there's a tiny box that says activate avatar (top of the list I think it was)

Oh dear swedie, um it was just luck. Go into Edit my details and right at the top before your name etc is a little box so I ticked that.

Hi Robi I did that but it just said my avatar is STILL inactive and I may need to go to Gravatar. But Ed has said in CB that it's possible to upload from your computer and you should hover over ADD IMAGE. I don't want a f-ng Gravatar, if I get one it will be displayed on other sites as well, and I don't want the same avatar for every site I'm on.

select an avatar from whereever (hard drive, internet) then copy and paste back into gravatar, the go to My profile edit user details and then all your info will pop up and right at the top is a box says avatar inactive so click on it and it will activate your avatar, (I think)

I can't say I'm thrilled about avatars at all Kit but I'm not on any other sites that use them...well I don't think so, I'll check. I'm more concerned about this open to all profile but I suppose if anyone's got the time or inclination to trawl through my blatherings then they have even less of a life than I do.

Neti I'm not sure but I suspect it will also be displayed on other sites (if those other sites also are connected to Gravatar) where you have also registered using the same email address you used for registering at Gravatar.
