As alijangra has quite rightly said, questions are still being answered..maybe some people don't like too much activity in this department as other questions are dropping further down the page? just a suggestion..maybe the AB editor could consider a new topic heading for chat, if it helps anyone.
I say carry on ~ no harm is being done to me!
No, you get used to the fact that CB has gone and find a more suitable chat forum for all your friendly banter. There are places out there.
We've all been here before. It's getting very boring keep hearing all the whining about the loss of CB. It's gone. Accept it.
AB is a Q&A site, always has been and has always worked very well, and was and is well-supported by users who like it just as a Q&A site. For people to say that it will all fall apart if a bit of friendly chat isn't allowed is ridiculous.
Who's to say what a valid question is or isn't? I personally feel that AB is and always has been more about serious stuff rather than about asking what we all did at the weekend or these other 'getting to know you' questions that have cropped up lately which, after all, gradually push other more serious questions off the page, questions which have been posted by people hoping to get some proper help and advice. Informal chat sites are the place to get to know people, in my opinion.
