We need to have a section in the topics format for social intergration,if we all sing from the same song sheet we can make it happen,ps does anyone know where i left my false teeth

are they on your bed side table? check out suggestions there is also something about us chatting on there byt most people see it as harmless fun. i say keep on chatting until we get chatter box back, lets start the revolution!!! ps ed please dont ban me its just a bit of fun!!

chatter bank was removed because it created so many problems - if you chat in the body and soul section then people's questions will be removed from the front page of the site with the typical - hello - and -where is everyone- questions... it is nice to get to know people but i think everyone can agree that the chat site didn't work as people couldn't be trusted to be polite, not attack each other, not swear etc etc and then go crying to the ed to sort it all out...

i didn't complain - but i do think they should bring chatterbank back - it is nice to just have the topics as what they are rather than say random questions like 'how are you' which don't necessarily have much to do with the topic title.

but keep posting the chat then maybe they will reinstate CB!

I personally would rather go to a dedicated chat site to chat rather than use AB, but thats just me, I know some people like more of a social interaction on AB. I never really used CB - I use AB as a source of knowledge and somewhere to help people out with their questions. I use other places for anything else. but thats just me!

I reported the 'Let's welcome The Wanderer' yesterday.

Was it a question? No.

Other questions get pushed off the screen with each new thread created. Questions which actually might be more important than welcoming new members.

This discussion has been had many many times before. Just look up Chatterbank in the search to find more arguments for / against.

As long as you are nice and the threads aren't posted all over the site - it is fine. Threads in the old ChatterBank category almost always ended up abusive. Try however, to limit the threads if you are going to say the same thing - it is better to have a long thread with numerous good natured posts than many threads all saying, "hi".

But after readin our good Ed's response ( corrr I'm such a creep-lol) they don't mind us occasionally chatting on other categories, so I'm happy with that. I just hope the folks who whinge have read it as well!
