Quotes don't work

I used quotes in a post, but they weren't displayed correctly. They were displayed as " Here's a test:

"test"

[dot.hawkes]

"oops"

[jno]

"gosh"... it does happen to a lot of users, I forget the reason... try just using single quotes, that never seems to cause problems.
