Gumpy old Men - Grumpy old Women!

Any chance of a category for the above please Ed?
It seems to work as a TV programme & might allow some AB'ers to let off steam, all in one place!
Reading though some of the threads on here (when I get the time), I'm sure it would soon take off!

My tongue is firmly in cheek of course!

Something needs to be done?
Why not have a 'Chat' Topic and let ABers who want to ... have fun ranting, letting off steam etc.
BUT get tough on inane postings, especially to AB Suggestions and other threads ....
No, I am not supporting 'no humour' in Questions / Answers- inane threads are just that ... stupid and offensive to the majority (albeit silent, for fear of being banned by 3 Abers in concert).

Yes, a greeting section would have been nice pitstopbunny, 'specially at Christmas time - but we'll have to leave that one for the Ed to chew over.......
prospector - We used to have a 'chat' section called ChatterBank, but unfortunately, it went down the pan due to immature idiots, who spoilt it for others.
To be honest, I think the same sort of thing would happen if we had a 'greeting' section too. I bet it wouldn't take long for the same kind of people to take over & for it to end up the same way!
Shame, but there you go!

Can't comment on the past ... but, some ABers express dislike, especially when it goes 'over the top' ... but, the best option is elusive?
Is there a lot of / more chatter at the moment - there seems to be a lot more in AB Suggestion Topic, but perhaps there is less elsewhere?
It was only on 22nd September that the last Ed issued a message -

Straight from the hip, plain warning?
The new Ed needs time to decide her policy - for the priorit may be to keep the majority happy - it is a balancing act .... keeping chatter to a reasonable level (and that is for the new Ed to define, as she monitors the ABer flow of views) ..... presumably those that get fed up quicker will 'walk on by'?
Chatter won't go away, but, if it is in its own Topic, then ABers can decide if they want to be involved?
