I notice she has not told you all but she has had an accident.

Dont panic she is all right but needs a confidence and morale boost from you all.
Mammar has a mobility scooter (otherwise known as Suzie Scooter) and no she is not a menicing old biddy on it she is all insured, serviced and very safe.

Unfortunatly Suzie had a steering bolt sheer causing Mammar to loose control and crash!! She was ok but very shaken and a couple stopped to help but had to go. She rang the brother in law to come to her rescue and a nice young man went past and offered to stay with her till help arrived. He was really nice and stayed with her even though he had had a bad day himself. When b-i-l arrived Mammar was going to abandon Suzie for the repair man to collect but the man offered to help b-i-l lift it into the car. They had a big hug and said goodbye.
It is touching that there is some real nice people still out there.

Thank you all very much - you are really nice. Happy Bear cheered me up lots yesterday when he gave me a hug. I wasn't hurt as much as shocked. There I was with the steering column loose in me hand! (Why does my life seem like an episode from a sit-com?)

Anyway my lovely son-in-law came round that night with new bolts and stuff and I have already had an outing.

Stokey - you've hit the nail on the head. I'm not dreadfully old but the back and legs don't work too well. If your Mum's out and about and someone looking like a bag-lady goes zooming past on a red scooter with air-brushed flames up the sides tell her to wave - it's ME!!!

P.S. Any spare hugs go to Student Gal please - she needs some for an ordeal tomorrow.

I don't know Mammar but there are a few people on those scooters in my town and they always make me smile, so friendly and saying hello......there ARE nice people around, the media generally only tells us about the rotten ones!

Get back on that scooter Mammar and make people smile.........it might be the only smile they have that day.

Mammar, you are naughty for keeping your ordeal to yourself. HappyBear is your biggest fan, you are so lovely and kind. Thank God you are okay, and walked away unscathed, and that you were lucky enough to have such a nice chap stay with you.
