hi ED,
you have stated recently that the new sports section is staying but my question is.
why cant you have it as the same layout as the previous SAB but keep the colour?........ this would keep the people you have said "like it" (your co workers)happy and make the people who have said they "dont like it" (the users) feel a little better?
i just cant get into this new one as much as i have tried, its all to .........wrong???

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Ab Ed - why is it you keep saying Sports AB is here to stay when it must be clear that it is the format that just is not liked? I may be proved wrong by actual statistics but it seems to me that there are more questions on sport appearing outside of Sports AB than there are within it.
As for pub chat, you surely have to admit that the idea has been a waste of time - there have been just 23 questions asked in this category in the 35 days since the first question was asked, and of those, less than a handful are genuine chat questions - the remainder should be in other categories.
The Olympics 2012 category has just TWO questions, one of which is a FOOTBALL question!
Boxing has had just 26 questions throughout the life of AB, Cycling just 19, and Athletics just 17; (and that is going back well over THREE years!)
Please do not just ignore those who are complaining about Sports AB, do something about it.

hi ed thanks for the response.
its all so BIG in there and i get a headache just looking, in the normal Ab you can have a look and when you see something that needs an opinion you jump in but it's not working for me, or most others (even though i dont want to voice the opinion of everyone).
so could it be changed with a more user friendly layout?
or if anyone else wants to add why its not good please feel free to do so as i suffer with the lack of ability to use big meaningful words?

Did we ever get told why the Sport category had to look different and indeed why it is a completely different site?
I can't understand the logic of that, unless the SportsAB is now under different ownership? Doesn't make any sense to me.
Most suppliers of a service listen to what their customers or users are saying. Obviously that doesn't apply here though!
