Anti Inflammatory?
Our Jack Russell cross is almost 15 in doggy years and has athritis. I've been putting dispersable aspirin in his water but its not helping. Im thinking of crushing an Ibrofen 200mg tablet to add to his food or water. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Smaller dogs, such as your Jack Russell would only be able to tolerate a small amount. If you insist, be sure to get a vet's prescription for the dog's weight. We've had good result from simple buffered aspirin for several years on several dogs. I wouldn't put the aspirin in the water, however, since you have no control on how much he get's A baby asprin works well for almost all dogs. The only thing more severe on dogs is Tylenol... Thanks all for your advice. We definately won't give him Ibrufen now! Being honest, I had thought of abdominal bleeding thats why I asked for advice. My hubby bought a packet of those new chews advertised on tv today ( Cant think of the name) so we'll try Toby on those and get him a magnetic collar. He's the last of our 2 dogs, I hate watching them grow old:-( Thanks again. x
