this is a statement

the ed offended me by implying I do not know the difference between a statement and a question.
this is a question:
is a question not that far from a statement and really just about perception?

That's twice in a year. And I'm still waiting for them to replace the cut glass decanter in the spring catalogue that arrived chipped. I may have to cancel and go back to level 1 membership, but then who pays for the night moderating?
jno i am still waiting for the decanter.
I have to argue the point further that a good debate is not necessarily in response to a question, but can be triggered by a statement , therefore if I were to put a statement up and it generated valid answers, it should be quite acceptable.
I used to have a Mr Ed annual. My Mother The Car replaced it on UK TV though.

Hmm, I dunno Dot. My bank often sends me a statement (which elicits information) and I question my wife about where all our money has gone. She often doesnt elicit sufficient information. So does this mean that when I question the wife about a statement that the elicitation of information comes from the statement or the question? And who is right, me? Or the wife!
actually, on reviewing the email from the ed, the ed actually told me that some of my question had been edited because it was ' a (correct) statement' the ed's choice of words not mine, but infact the eds statement was not a correct statement because the question (statement) I had posted had not been edited in part, it had been banned. There is a big difference between part of it being edited because it is correct, statement or no, and all of it being deleted.
So what part of your statement is a suggestion? Doesnt look like a question to me so I would surmise it could potentially be in the right place? Even though this is a Q&A site. Perhaps your post was questioned because it was viewed as a statement, in which case this thread containing a further statement without suggestion or a question should be deleted also?
If one thing, the AB Ed is certainly consistent in inconsistency.
