Has anyone noticed the pinky pod to the right updating itself every 10 seconds? Yes, we have put it on purpose. Do you like it at all?

No, not really... It actually flashed into my eyes (that pink colour) so I can't see anything anymore.

You beat me to it B00! Everytime the pinky pod updates itself, I get an egg timer next to my mouse pointer flashing at me, and it seems to momentarily halt what I'm typing. Very distracting and irritating I think.

Yes, I agree it is distracting, but from the other hand it shows what is going on here without traveling across categories. From that point I found it usefull quite quickly.

Genesis, do you have any suggestion how to make less distracting? I bet B00 might have some idea for it.

JjP, I was also thinking that it is quite a good idea, particularly if you are following a particular thread (too many particulars there!), but this rotten flashing and delay in typing needs to be remedied! Unfortunately, not being remotely technical, I don't have any ideas as to how to make it less distracting, save for B00 coming round with the Fondant Fancies, of course!

it seems to update every few seconds; this post will presumably push someone else's off the list. Nice idea but I suspect it changes so quickly nobody will actually be able to keep up (just looking at it now, it has 3 posts from 0 minutes ago and 2 from 1 minute ago)

Just had a thought Ed (yeah stunned me too!) how about changing it to say ooo every minute rather than every 10 seconds? It'll save my pointy finger icon thingy having a coronn....conn.....heart attack, plus like everyone else has said, it also beggers up any posts that your typing.........ahhhhh is that the master plan? ;-)
