The quality of questions on the Answerbank
79 Answers
The quality of questions on this site as a whole has gone dramatically down hill. The number of pointless questions taking up space has tremendously increased. I find it very irritating. We have pointless questions about names, phones being lost and other ridiculously time consuming things. What has happened to the intellect on here? Can nobody post a question which involves a bit of thought?

the amount of drivel on this site is increasing - pointless questions like, ''what's your favourite food?'', whilst technically a question, are a waste of time because who gives a toss what a stranger in cyberspaces favourite food is? what does a person do with this information once they have it? i cannot see the point in this...other than for a bit of a chat - which is not the aim of this site.
however,
on the other hand, i see no point in moaning about it - many people have before and nothing gets changed - this site is for everyone and people will use it in the way they want, turning it into yet another chat room.
so, just ignore the ones you don't like and respond to the ones you do.

I am still quite new but I do see some questions that seem pointless. However, something like "what's your favourite food" to me is not. To my mind the poster wanted ideas for a varied diet or a change in their normal meals so it is easy to ask a simple question as to people's favourite food/meals. Some questions really do seem to be silly and I choose not to respond to them. I look at the question headings and if they seem silly then I don't read them - that saves fruetration and irritation.
I would like to assure puteridiot that now that I've returned from my holidays, the quality of both questions and answers will improve immediately.

I'm new on here - so can I say hello to everyone? Afterwhich - may I suggest a sensible topic of conversation? What do you think to smoke detectors? This question almost begs for some wag to make a jest or two - but did you know that if you prod them, you risk the chance of americium 241 leaking out? It's radioactive, and I have several of the damned things dotted about my house. Oh well...guess i'll be glowing shortly.....
