you need to go into http://beta.theanswerbank.co.uk

then in your profile you should be able to upload an avatar :-)

click on my profile at the top left of the page.

then halfway down your profile editing page you should see "Upload your image:" click on the "Browse" button to find the location of your picture on your computer. Once you ahve selected a picture to use and the text is in the box (e.g c:\mypicture.gif) then click on sumbit to the right of the Browse button. SHould upload it.

You must already have your chosen picture on your hard drive. I keep all my graphics under MY PICTURES.

Then click where it says BROWSE, select your pic, then click SUBMIT. Should be simple, but mine kept coming against Error Messages. Hopefully yours will be straight forward, excelsior.

well done Cetti, and aren't you pretti... I finally got one by ignoring the rules and choosing a jpg file, not a gif, that was far bigger then the maximum 10kb, and it worked; crazy but there you go.

Well it's nice to know that I am visible over there in all my starry (snowflaky) glory neti, but I still can't get on the beta. I'm signed in on the now retro version. And I keep getting blank pages and ones that won't load at all. I am sometimes getting no response when I click on a category too. It's driving me batty. Not quite so bad when I'm not logged in but once I am it's a flippin' nightmare. D'OH!

Come on you AB monks, get off the benedictine and get fixing please!!
