Not allowing people to post immediately upon joining.

Hi Ed,
After the recent farce in Animals & Nature, I wonder if it's possible to stop any new users from posting for 24 hours until after they join?
This will stop people who have been banned from immediately signing back up to continue posting nonsense.
Just an idea?

Ethel has the right idea.
Feel free to email AB Ed on the contact us link but it seems as if nothing much is going on at AB HQ at the moment and a little troll doesnt bother them at all.
Keep reporting anything you think requires it, as im sure the rest of us will do too.

Not extracting urine squarebear, it's just our off the wall way of showing you that your suggestion is a non starter as far as:
1) the Ed is concerned she doesn't give a flying fcuk as posts like those by gravitate/gravytate generate advertising 'hits' such as those on thr right hand side of your screen which in turn, generates income for Answerbank
2) the practicalities such as those mentioned by redcrx

No, there are participating moderators who regularly post on the boards, and part of their remit is to stir up trouble and increase the hit rate for the advertisers. They attend meetings in disguise and I don't know who they are, but I do know you have to be especially clever to be promoted to become one.
