Surely as a family site some of the posts should so be banned and certain words, replacing certain letters with punctuation marks shouldn't be aloud oh and people with like 50 different user names.
What going on ed?

andrea, AB is working on a programme to supply all young users with knives so they can stay indoors and kill other users without leaving their screens. (I imagine this will involve use of the slash key.) We must keep up with modern ways, you know
I think Ethel, China, Octavius, Buenchico and several others would all be good moderators.

I like Andy-Hughs
I like battenburg cake!

Gah cant stop thinking about cake....poxy diet!
im not sure octavious can be trusted, he has got a sasmouth lately ;D
I have had a response or several from the Ed in the past yes but not written to her/him recently. I'm wondering if the site has gone self perpetuating.
People always respond to the threads though, maybe if people just reported offensive questions and ignored the posts they'd get bored.
I do that generally speaking Jenna. After I've had a good nose of course. Although in CB there's one or two I just don't open except to report as you can see from the question they're going to be abusive from the outset.
I'm with Jenna on this one. Every time we see one of the culprits post a question we should report them without responding. And when they post innane and offensive rubbish on other people's questions we should just ignore them. They're only doing this to get a reaction - like a three-year-old.
Err, talk about me as though I am not here whydontcha.

I dont think I would be any good as I am far too tolerant and I like things in moderation.

Generally, being a complete plum is not an issue, and having a daft user name is not an issue either. Being offensive to others IS an issue and one that I cast my wonky eyebrow over very unfavourably. Sometimes I tell them off. Even if people do respond, you can still report the Q. Reporting the Answer is obviously a lost facility and a lost cause, since it meant the AB team working full time (4 hrs a day instead of the usual 2 including 6 fag breaks)

I dont even know what sasmouth is, and if I were a moderator I would probably ban the use of the word, specially when it is used with my name. The person using it would probably get a good talking to as well.

Be careful what you wish for!
Where did the report and answer thing go? Sure it was here when I used to come on or were people abusing it to target others too much and get them banned?
Octavius, being a sasmouth means your mouth is open so wide that paramilitaries on ropes can swing into it while Kate Adie is watching.
well erm okay, octavious has been a little feisty lately
I've noticed a few awful usernames that I can't even type , I'm not a prude but doesn't the ED or Tech team see them !
Yep so may twollops on this site now, I know i used to be pretty crude and rude etc, but for the last two years I have behaved myself, well pretty well most of the time, is it really any wonder lots of people aren't on here as much anymore? sometimes the abuse now is very personal and vile, no need for that, it should be sorted, but we all know it never will ,, not till the editor pulls his/her head out of the orifice at the back of themselves, wipes there eyes and looks at what is posted, unless they want the site like it of course, then in that case it is a success,
