Is this not a family site anymore?

Surely as a family site some of the posts should so be banned and certain words, replacing certain letters with punctuation marks shouldn't be aloud oh and people with like 50 different user names.
What going on ed?

it IS supposed to be a family site, however certain indiviuals seems to totally disregard that and litter their posts with swear words or make up childish usernames like the first poster who replied here.
I dread to think that these people themselves may have children, as I can only assume they swear in their everyday conversations around them too.
As to what we can do- i'm afraid it's nothing. And as for what Ed and the editorial team are doing....again it's nothing.

Once upon a time there was a magical place called Answerbank.
Every day was sunny, all the people who played there were kind, full of wisdom, compassion and fun (except a couple, naturally!)
If anyone was very rude or said really nasty things, then a very important person called ED, banned them instantly, and they were never seen again. Occasionally they tried to come back under a diferent name, but the wise old ED spotted this trick and threw them out for ever...and ever... This all happened a very long, long, time ago.
The End.

Has anyone ever had a response from the ED? Perhaps if enough of us bombarb him/her with messages about certain user names etc then they might not just ban the user - but the IP address too and get them off AB for good. I'm a moderator on another site and when we have problems with people just using new names to be offensive we simply block their IP altogether.
