MM Links Solutions June 2008 [Week 4]

It is time once again to reveal what the Dinky Duke chose to tickle your fancies with this week. Was it hard for members to find matches? Did you come up to expectations? Did the points come quickly? Were there any multiple scorers? These, and other questions, are about to be answered.

So, as temporary Guardian of the abacus and Independent and neutral Observer, I will bring you the Evening News and Herald the scores.

In the words of the Dinky Duke, "Wow! What a start!"
All four links were guessed by 9:04!



Alibobs, was once again first to score with HARD TIMES, followed within the two minute rule by x-ray and grenmus all for 2 points each.

fordward, as entrant #4 at 9:01 was next to find a match with MAIL ORDER which was also the choice of paulineward and AllyLally all for 2 points.

The third link of EXPRESS DELIVERY fell to evsajo at 9:02 for 2 points.

The fourth link of WINNING POST was then snapped up by entrant 19 at 9:04, cliffyg, again for 2 points.


With such a promising start, I was expecting to be kept busy on my abacus, but players had other ideas and further points were hard to come by. No player had more than a single hit this week as 16 players shared just 24 points. Rather a dilemma then to select this week's hotshot.

After 4 weeks and with just one to go, the scoreboard looks like this:


7 points - AllyLally

6 points - Alibobs, fordward, & paulineward

4 points - Aquagility, beejay1124, Dustybun, Grenmus, jan1956, ladyalex & x-ray


So you see it is still tightly bunched up there with so many on those top three slots. Congratulations go to AllyLally, who made an early start this week and gained a bonus point to retain her lead.

Crofter is now back from what was hopefully a relaxing holiday so next week it will be crofter who will definitely be back in control. Log on again at the usual time next weekend to see what the Dinky Duke has cooked up for his final offering.

Thanks, Dinky and Gen2. Thanks for nothing! And it's unlikely that I shall be around next weekend to play catchup, so I'll just have to put my money on -who shall I bet on? - maybe Pauline. Or maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see.
Could this be the next generation game - guessing who the winner will be?

Thanks Dinky Duke and Gen2. I obviously concentrate better when i am not in the middle of a field at a Carboot sale as I scored this week and Carboots were cancelled!!!!!! Will miss you in the Shrubbery next week Aquagility!!!!!

Welcome back crofter - hope your mosquito bites get better, I got bitten to death by midges earlier this month whist staying alongside Loch Lomond.
