Hi Ed, I've just read your latest blog & note you've written:

CHANGE

As I've said before, changes will take time. If people think that changes will be implemented instantly, they've got another 'thing' coming.

Shouldn't that read 'think' coming?.

I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong, but I always say 'think'.
Quick leggit smudge!

Did you not see the roasting the Doc got yesterday when he dared to correct the Ed's grammar?
I always say 'thing' but would agree that 'think' also fits equally well............
It is definitely 'think' as I told the ed on his thread.
I've always said "thing"...doesn't sound right saying "think"
I always say 'think'. Don't want to upset antone but I don't understand what 'thing' would refer to?
or anyone either.....(red face)
How can it be thing? Does not make sense! 'If people think.....another think coming' - in other words people will have to think differently. What is the other 'thing' that people could have coming?
A smack in the chops from the Ed if you dont agree?

quick agree now- before it's too late, don't say I didn't warn ya!
Or.........when you have decided that a particular circumstance is correct and are then appraised otherwise a thing different from the original thing you surmised will now possibly occur.............:o)

lol BOO. Poor Ed - but It's something I just had to mention. ;o}

Thanks monkeyeyes, different people use thing & think, but think sounds correct to me.

Well I never - I was just going to post "Where's Ethel when you need her?" & she's here! So thank you Ethel, although I didn't know you'd noticed it too! great minds think alike. ;o}

Thank you for your posts too chelle & Catron.
I already noted this in the thread Ethel was talking about.

I know that 'think' is correct, but it doesn't seem right in my head, so I naturally write it as 'thing' when I'm doing something quickly. It's just me.

Like I said before, I go by the teachings of Judas Priest.

Sorry!

You don't have to apologise to me Ed. I'm sure you've got lots of things to do.....

As I said to BOO, it's just something I had to mention.

I haven't seen the thread with Ethel's post, otherwise I would have posted on there instead.

P.S. I bet Doc's hiding..... ;o}
Ahhh, no hard feelings between me and Doc.!

It was only a joke, I'm sure Doc knows that too :P
