MM and KM Links February 2009 [Week 4]

Welcome to the fourth and final week of our setter, Queen Dustybun. By now, we know where her "buns" came from and how they got "dusty"! Last week, there were problems with AnswerBank at the critical time when winners were to be announced. As you will see, there are 9 or 10 entrants who are well placed to take the crown PROVIDED they can put in a convincing last round. I also note that several of the frontrunners have yet to win the MM Links Game, so they better be on their toes when Queen Dustybun launches the MM Links Game tomorrow morning at 8.45am and the four words to be linked should be declared at 9.00am.

Whereas Dustybun will set the links for the MM Game, the international version of this same game (called KM Links) kicks off at an earlier time (usually about 7.00am but could be much earlier) and is out of control of mere mortals. Look out for our regular organiser from Oz, seekeerz, who is melting in the middle of an Australian Summer. She will be assessing results for KM Links (an international version of MM Links). I always say, why not chance your arm at both Link Games? They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.

I am looking forward to meeting up with you all tomorrow to complete our February Competition and declaring the March Champion!

Radio Caroline, oh yes, I used to listen to those pirate stations regularly during the sixties. Another one was Radio London. I think that they made the swinging sixties what it was. All those records crackling away, the volume coming and going. What a differenec today with the clear constant sound, DAB and all that.
Think I preferred the old days, such good memories of the 1960's.

It's no surprise though that such a lot of the records from way back then are still as popular today, and with all age groups. Remember Chuck Berry ?

Dusty, thank you for asking. Leg is not brill, next appointment is in the middle of April to see if the blasted thing is knitting together which it wasn't on last inspection. Got any spare cash? Invest it in manufacturers of analgesics.
x-ray - I'm pleased you think we are younger than we are! I remember the pirate stations very well, John Peel with his Perfumed Garden programme et al.
And sarumite if you are reading this, wasn't that a cracking good game of rugger!!
But the game has played havoc in seeing what was up in the Shrubbery. Note, however, no Pauline or Kay here, so they must have been watching it too!
