I remember when we had a laugh on threads regularly

one thread would be started in Body & Soul and the daftness stayed in there , why now have we to suffer half a dozen or more unfunny idiotic attention seeking threads from greenie trolls trying to spoil CB? people avoid the topic and leave them to it in the main, but all it does is create conflict and argument. I for one will only watch it for so long and then I can't help wading in with my two pen'th. Yes we can all have a laugh (seriously, even me!) on CB, but there is a nasty undertone to the threads that i personally find offensive. Having avoided reporting the idiots directly using the report option and having not emailed the ed hardly at all. i still get comments about fantasy 'fakebook' gangs (seriously none of my facebook friends list know anything about AB except 3 ex-users and one current member). the paranoia from these greenies is what is the most intimidating. I have ignored them, in the past reported them, reasoned with them, got annoyed with them, got aggressive with them, played along with them, but they are obsessively compulsively narcissistically determined to dominate the CB threads at night. Is there no solution yet? I really feel that of the 95% of abers who are annoyed about it. 94.5% would like to see it stop and the other .5% are not bothered.
I have used AB for a good few years now and intend carrying on using it, even though my original name was lost 3 years ago and the substitute was accidentally perma-banned earlier this year, I don't intend changing my name again, i am not stopping contributing to the site, it is habit forming and i developed the habit a long while ago!
This is not a rant, I've thought (briefly but in a measured and considered calm way) about the solution and whilst there isn;t any one answer, could people maybe try to show support for stopping the incessent garbage and just help to keep the chat normal and friendly without seeing people pushed into uncharacteristic aggression and anger?

I don't start on the newspaper until I'm fully awake so the drivel on CB keeps me entertained until it's time to wake the kids up.

Everywhere in life there are a few that want to spoil it for everyone else and AB is no exception. The only way the green trolls can spoil it is if we let them. I tend to come on during the day as it gets a bit stupid at night, just looking through last nights posts in CB proves that. I don't know why the ed hasn't zapped those posts???
I would just ignore them, laugh at them and think of how little they must have in their lives to come on here to try to wind people up. If you rant back at them, they'll be the ones laughing.

No reason why you should leave the site dotty, or even consider it.

We've always had idiots on AB, remember? That's why the orginal CB went the way it did.

The site will always have "greenies who are intent on trying to spoil the fun for the majority. Guess all we can do is grit our teeth, largely ignore, and wait till the powers that be do something about them.

Wise moderation 24/7 is the only solution. I vote for B00 (if you can stay awake 24/7 B00?;) who is always doing the righteous thing. I may not agree with everything you say B00 but I always admire your never-ceasing sense of justness and the way you try to keep this town clean;) so ED if you see this it's a genuine suggestion: Make use of B00 (and pay her good money).

To be fair, I don't think Legend is purely to blame for the sorry state of the site.

Let's face it, the way the site runs, we'll always have someone who we'll want to pin the blame on.

Perhaps the finger pointing should be in the direction of a lax editorial team?
