Would it be possible for your Tech Dept to use the same method as they do in Football i.e Yellow Cards which are conspicuous against the Username, before a 24Hour Ban starts? Two Yellow Cards firstly then a Red on the last Posting before a Ban. One of my Answers a while ago was banned because the breed of Cat in question was a Maine C 00 N, and I thought that was a bit trivial. Good natured banter which does not harm anyone should not be banned just for banning's sake. Bad abuse however is a different kettle of fish altogether and should be discouraged automatically with a straight Red !
Can you please be more tolerant to the 'Adult' banter that goes on and concentrate more on the serial abusers on here.
Thanks for reading this and please respond

Spare Ed - no worries about earlier on.
Big Ed - nice to see you around again.
The idea of a Report button is wrong, because it's being misused by ABers who might take umbrage against other users. All they have to do is to click the report button 10 times, either by using multiple ids, or by getting others to join them (block banning). It's the moderators job to do this.
The idea of being able to report offensive answers IS a good idea though, after which the moderators or editorial staff could make a decision.
