i believe you mentioned a security measure called G.NOME, And from what little memory my alcohol soaked brain can remember G.nome was a user here....so are you saying that G.NOME is this user and he will be moderating this site ?

Good afternoon AnswerBank, just to bring together some of your comments:

BertiWooster - yes, I believe the new AnswerBank will have personal messaging eventually. I do not think it will have it in the first iteration, but it won't be long.

AOG - We have noted your issues, but the technical team are impossibly busy building the new AnswerBank!

Gromit - Your concern will no longer be one once the new AnswerBank is here

Grasscarp - We will have a sign put up in AnswerBank 2.0.

Kaiykanina - This is a database issue which cannot be resolved due to a lack of resources. It will not be problem in AnswerBank 2.0

Seagull - Sorry seagull, it has been taken by someone who signed up in 2002 and made two posts. I don�t think we can ask them to give it up!

Dot - Sorry, you know we cannot change usernames. To disappoint your further I just checked for the "vv" version, someone has nicked it!

Hi Ed, could I ask that the people who join Q&P just to moan and complain about people asking questions are removed or at least given "three strikes and you're out".

I'm fed up (as are others) about people replying, "Why don't you use a book or google" or "this question is so easy" to genuine quiz questions.

Hi Eds. I'd like to know the reason why, when replies are removed, AB doesn't replace them with REMOVED BY ANSWERBANK posts. Just deleting replies leaving no trace of their previous presence causes... well perhaps not tragedies ha ha, but certainly confusion and misunderstandings and even aggression when people get caught up misunderstand who's saying what to whom.
