First time I had Greek yogurt was in London. It came in a plastic1-portion bowl with honey at the bottom and walnuts on top and I had never tasted anything like it - I lived in a small town at the time and they only did meatballs and icecream. Another first for me in London was Tiramisu (excuse me while I faint with pleasure) oh and Lebanese meze:-) Sweden is yogurt paradise, we've taken to it like a fish takes to water, probably because of our long tradition with 'filmjölk'. But most of them are too sweet, rather like flavoured tea - you know, vanilla tea, marshmallow tea...

Somebody just posted this on Facebook ha ha it's really funny! (fingers crossed I don't post that lolcat a third time now) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj-x9ygQEGA

Neti-redbreast here! yes there is a definite redness to my chest, and that will be as brown as I go.

Off out for drinks with some visitors and no Robi, I'll have wine this time!

There are squatters at the end of the building at the back, look like Eastern Europeans except one is blackish! Have instructed daughter to lock back and front doors when she is home, as we usually have both of them wide open all the live long day:

<<Catch yer laters>>
I've got a yoghurt maker but it's gathering dust with all the other gadgets I've abandoned to their fate at the back of the pantry ,out of sight out of mind ..I buy the Onken pots too.My fave at the mo' is coconut .Müller used to do big pots of the thick one they put in Corners but you don't seem to be able to get it anymore .
I'm going to watch that History Cold Case thing tonight ,it was really interesting last week .
Have a nice time Neti ,steady as you go old gir :0)
try a bowl of fresh fruit salad dressed with greek yoghurt, some chopped preserved ginger and a little ginger syrup from the jar.....
Dentist actually was okay. The failed implant came out easily...hadn't bonded at all. The hole is stuffed with pulverised denatured swiss cow bone or synthetic stuff..the synthetic stuff is finer and doesn't pack in so well..like coarse sand being better for sandcastles.
Anyway I had to blow my nose and see if Corsodyl came down it to see if the sinus was compromised...happily not. I have stitches and have been told no chewing at all and no nose blowing on the affected side for a week.....honestly. Happily alcohol is only banned today and tomorrow.

Are we all enjoying our dinner as we read this lol

btw Mr W has had 3 cups of tea, orange juice, a glass of complan and sponge pudding and custard today. If I had the energy I'd dance...also dog's ears are improving .
Think of me dancing......

Good morning jude, good morning everyone!

Poor jude, you'll have no blood left at this rate.

Talking of greek yoghurt, could I have it, is it unsweetened and skimmed, although have to say I am getting quite used to skimmed stuff now.
yes greek youghurt is unsweetened and, in the UK at least comes both normal and low fat. Its lovely stirred up with lemon juice as a salad dressing or on the side of a curry. It also makes a really nice soft cheese, you just line a colander or sieve with kitchen paper, dollop the yoghurt in and leave it to drip over a bowl for the night. Next day put into a covered pot. eat as is or stir in any herbs or spices you fancy.
What i like about the easy Y version is that it keeps for ages once made and no added preservatives or anything else. the mix is just dried milk and yoghurt culture. (cultured yoghurt, you have to take it to the ballet lol)
forgot., another goof dflavouring for the cheese ot the sald dressing is freshlu ground black pepper
was looking for youghurt cultures and found this.....fermented sausages????only in the West Country ;-)

Any yoghurt so long as it's active & strawberry for me please...Oh, I seem to have one in front of me, yummy. Hmmm, can't bring myself to eat anything Onken any more. I once had one of their mousses & thought at the time it looked a bit frothy, but still well within date. Let's say I was up early for a run the next morning, haha...
Fermented sausage??!! oh yuk, you'd never even go to bed after those...

Good to have you back in sight Jude, & go easy on the peanut brittle woofy.
Better go & tackle the ironing or I'll be spending the weekend in my eco-wincy...in the meantime I'll leave you with a catchy little tune....
