Do AB Editors approve of us thanking those who give us good advice? Other than the rating stars of course. It seems a common courtesy to do so.

Yes, Dudley, that's fine - as long as each "thank you" is posted beneath an existing question and its responses and doesn't form a new post (meaning it would be banned for taking up valuable board space by being Not a Question).
