i read birdman years ago which was pretty good , but was put off by her next book called " the treatment ", i thought it was pretty grim, it depends on your taste . try reading reviews on amazon etc . bb.

I have read her blue. I too think her books are grim. I've read the treatment, gone and the devil of nanking. I seem to have a fatal fascination for her! Not everyone's taste at all.

She's a clever writer, but her content can often be distressing. She is a bestseller.

I fear for her sanity! The concept for "Birdman" has to be one of the sickest I've ever read. Less impressed by "The Treatment" and didn't read any more until I was recently given "Pig Island". Now going to go back and see what I missed...

If you think Mo is gruesome then read Now You See Me by S.J .Bolton .
Even such a dedicated gorefest /crime novel/ thriller addict such as moi felt a bit sickly :)
It's about a Jack the Ripper copycat but she's a woman !
