Not often I stick my neck out to recommend a book but I have just finished reading Entry Island by Peter May. Fantastic read, couldn't put it down. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the info. Always good to get a recommendation.
BTW Maggie, Did you go and see the poppies at the Tower? I recall your saying you were going about now.
How do you know I won't be disappointed?...I looked on Amazon, that book has all the hallmarks of a book which will disappoint me.
Bit harsh, woofgang. It has had good reviews on, Amazon. Do you not like crime thrillers?
I'm a Peter May fan but was disappointed in this book. Messing about with 'back in time', plus some quite serious mistakes on the Scottish front - don't know about Canadian bits.
The Enzo Macleod series for me is much better, both as literature and as crime novel.
Question Author
Marjie - much prefer the China thrillers to the Enzo ones. Each to his own I suppose but I loved Entry Island. My comment would be that it is a thriller, it's not supposed to be a history book.

Janbee - going to London on Thursday so hope to see the poppies at the Tower on Saturday - if we can get near them that is.
Maggie, enjoy your trip. You'll LOVE it. It's wonderful to see.
I just find it strange when people assume that because they liked a book, then I will....
Yes, that's true. We all have different tastes, but I do enjoy a good crime thriller!
