Just finished reading this book last night. Came highly recommended but I found it very strange. I almost gave up a couple of times but something drew me back to it. Anyone else read it? Would be interested to find out what others thought of it.

got less than halfway through. gave up when i found out what the big awful secret was.

I enjoyed it. The "big secret" was a bit odd,but the authors style of writing,the atmosphere she created,the mix of reality/fantasy kept me interested.
When I finally finish the one I'm reading now...I'll give myself a well deserved medal.
