I'm hoping someone can help me out here while i was going through stuff to throw out i came across a paperback novel of the movie 'Halloween' published by Corgi books.My friend is convinced it is a first uk edition it says in the inside cover A Cogi Book 0 552 11375-1 then it says First publication in Great Britain.I have no idea when it comes to things about first edition books.If it does turn out to be a first edition does anyone know any sites where i could get it valued? The book was published in 1980. Thanxs

Look for a sequence of numbers on the publication page - this is a 'print line' and if it's a first printing it should contain the number 1. e.g. 1 2 3 4 5, etc., or sometimes the numbers run backwards.
