trying to find a children's book

I'm trying to remember the title of a book in which the heroine (a little girl) is shrunk by a fairy and told she's the only one who can battle Jack Frost...? Please someone help me, it's driving me nuts!!

Could it be one of the series of 'Rainbow Fairies' books by Daisy Meadows?
They have two girls - Kirsty and Rachel - who are always saving fairyland from Jack Frost and are often shrunk down by their fairy friends. There are loads of the books now - rainbow fairies, pet keeper fairies, party fairies, holiday fairies.....
I'm in the middle of reading ' Katie the Kitten fairy' to my little ones right now.

No, sorry, this book is a bit longer, like a small novel, and (I'm guessing here) it looks American, from the nineties. but thanks anyway.

(I've also read the Rainbow Fairies, and I think they're great!)
