Good day
Is the actual island of Monte Cristo ficticious or does it indeed exist??
Plus if it's real has anyone been there?
Cheers chaps!

Never been, but it's real enough - South of Elba - I think it's a nature reserve - pretty small and rocky

I'm so pleased someone answered this because it's been bugging me. The closest I could get was Elba, but I was sure it wasn't quite right. Well done.

Aw shucks 'tweren't nuthin' really! But in receiving these plaudits I'd like to pay tribute to my Dad (still with us and with it at 84) who has been having a love-hate relationship with "la bella Italia" for the past 64 years ( SIcily, Salerno, Anzio, Cassino etc) and who has visited Elba more than once! Still pops across every year for a refresher course!
